Meet Our Team
Chef Corey & Rachel McCafferty
Owners of the Layton BBQ Pit Stop location
Chef Corey has a love for everything BBQ! After completing culinary school in his younger days, and over the years following, Corey placed in many BBQ competitions, with competing in Texas being a highlight of his career. His culinary and Pitmaster resume is extensive.
Rachel’s food education began early and continued throughout her adult years. She was born and raised in California and within the family catering business. With both kitchen and hospitality added to her resume, Rachel has had the opportunity to experience both the front and back of the house in her food career.
Before owning the BBQ Pit Stop location in Layton, Corey with his wife, Rachel; opened More Than Enough, BBQ, LLC., a barbecue catering company in 2023. Since then, More Than Enough, BBQ, LLC. has been dissolved and absorbed into the Layton BBQ Pit Stop location. So, while they no longer serve up delicious BBQ food, they now serve up something even better: BBQ knowledge and everything you need to go with it! Chef Corey and Rachel now enjoy sharing their BBQ recipes, tips, and tricks with customers and Chef Corey teaches our Layton Pit Stop classes!
